But seriously, it paid off when my long lost cousin of 8 years was able to find my contact information through the web! I have heard of people googling my name, and the top 1 entry will be my website.
There is another time that the military investigators googled my name and were able to contact me through the phone.
Theoretically, I will always be able to be reached, no matter how much time passes, as long as I keep my website going with the most updated information. . . and for $45/year, it's well worth the cost.
