WHAT IS THE L.A. COUNTY TEMPORARY EVICTION MORATORIUM?
The Los Angeles County Temporary Eviction Moratorium, effective March 4, 2020 to September 30, 2020, implements a Countywide ban on evictions for residential and commercial tenants, including mobile home space renters. During the moratorium, tenants may not be evicted for COVID 19 related non-payment of rent, as well as no fault reasons, nuisance, unauthorized occupants or pets, if related to COVID-19. The moratorium may be extended by the L.A. County Board of Supervisors on a month-to-month basis.

Now there are numerous conditions associated for it to apply, but foolish is the Landlord who tries to test the willingness of a Judge to demonstrate leeway and award attorney fees to the "victimized," deadbeat tenant.
Los Angeles County is quite a large county, and I'm surprised that I could not find anything on Zero Hedge about this.
Los Angeles County probably is not the only county or city that has placed moratoriums like this.
That means there is a much larger avalanche of foreclosures and defaults waiting in the pipeline once these moratoriums lift.
