We are in a time where if you call someone out as being lazy, foolish or wicked (in their knowingly sinful choices) which results in their poverty, that you would be called racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobe (though I think being homosexual means you'll be wealthier), or whatever term you want to call out. This goes contrary to Scripture which is full of these admonishments.
When the Debt Monster collapses, then everyone who has made bad, personal choices will be forced to face the natural consequences. Food stamps, Section 8 housing, alimony, child support, free healthcare, etc.
Of course, they won't go down without a fight, as we've seen with all the looting going on.
I see debt as being the core that enables all these distortions of natural consequences of sin.
I am hating usury the more I learn about it and see its ripple effects in society and laws.
